๐ A note from the Lab: Wisp โ my first creation โ escaped again, and she hid her six glow lanterns somewhere in your neighborhood. I need Lantern Keepers. Bring them home, and try not to let her outsmart you. She learned from the best. โ Dr. Z
What is this, exactly?
Wisp’s Lost Lanterns is a self-guided scavenger hunt that plays on phones, in your own streets and green spaces. A community books a kit; families play anytime during the event window. Six lantern stops, puzzles for ages 5 to 75, three hints at every stop so nobody gets stuck โ and the organizer does about one hour of total work.
How a quest comes alive:
- You book. Email the Lab with your community and tier. We set up your kit and send printable signs + a one-page organizer guide.
- Your Lab Assistant places 6 signs. (That’s you, organizer. The title is official. There may be a certificate someday.)
- Your people play. Teams scan a sign, solve the puzzle, relight the lantern. A quest isn’t alive until a community plays it โ so: IT’S ALIVE.
Meet your Game Master ๐๏ธ
Every game runs at the scare level you choose โ and you can tell which one you’re getting by looking at Dr. Z’s face. His hair gives it away: the madder the Z, the whiter the hair.

Same quest, four voltages. The face on the flyer is a promise.

Quick questions
Do players need to install an app? No. One phone per team, in a browser. Grandparents included.
What does the organizer actually do? About an hour: print 7 signs, place 6, set out a candy bowl. The Lab handles the rest, remotely.
What if it rains? Florida rain is the Lab’s mood lighting. The kit window spans the whole weekend โ families pick their moment.
